Events and Workshops 2012

Damariscotta Lake Writers Conference, July 29-August 3

I'll be giving the Hog Island Lecture at the Damariscotta Lake Writers Conference this Summer, July 29-August 3. Hog Island, an Audubon preserve, is a boat ride away from the main conference, which has space for only eighteen participants.

A Retreat for Secondary School Teachers Who Write

Haystack was wonderful, back at the end of August--Big waves and power outage because of Hurricane Irene, great people, great setting, lots of energy between all the craft studios. And we writers making things just like the potters, the glassblowers, the fiber artists, the printmakers, the bamboo workers, and the dyers. Genius!

Events canceled or postponed until June, 2011

This was a big event--spinal fusion surgery on my neck, January 10, 2011. I tell the whole story on Cocktail Hour--do some scrolling to find all three entries! And see chapter 15, "I Used to Play in Bands," available under "Videos and Podcasts" on this site.
